大学院医歯薬学総合研究科では、3月7日(月)、8日(日)の両日、医学部ポンペ会館において、長崎大学21世紀COEプログラム「放射線医療科学国際コンソーシアム」の拠点形成事業の一環として、国際シンポジウム「若手研究者による長崎シンポジウム」が開催されました。
海外から10名、国内から6名の招聘講演者を迎え、国内の研究者、本学教職員及び大学院生79名が参加し、被ばく者医療、放射線疫学、再生医学、放射線生物学及び分子細胞学の新進気鋭の若手研究者により、最新の研究結果が紹介され、活発な意見交換が行われました。
今回のシンポジウムは、本プログラムの柱のひとつである放射線医療科学の次世代の国際的リーダー育成のための若手研究者の教育に資するべく、講師、助手、大学院生による大会運営がなされ、成功裡に終了しました。
今後も、こうしたシンポジウムやワークショップを開催し、世界のトップレベルの研究者との学術交流を図るとともに、若手研究者に対する育成の場を提供していくことが期待されます。
