On 11 July 2008, Professor Noboru Takamura,
Global COE member visited Belarusian Medical
Academy of Post-Graduate Education (Minsk,
Republic of Belarus) and participated in
the signing ceremony of the agreement between
both institutions. At the ceremony, Professor
Takamura reviewed current and future directions
of collaboration between universities. Professor
Khulup, President of Belarusian Medical Academy
of Post-Graduate Education also expressed
his high expectation for the future collaboration
between two institutions.
It is scheduled that the representative office
of Nagasaki University will be established
at Belarusian Medical Academy of Post-Graduate
Education within a framework of our Global
COE project, in order to develop the molecular
epidemiological studies in Belarus, for clarifying
the mechanism of carcinogenesis due to radiation
exposure.
