Home>Projects>International Radiation Health Sciences Research   International Radiation Health Sciences Research Through promotion of comprehensive medical support for and academic joint research on those exposed to low-dose radiation after the Chernobyl NPP accident, the project for radiation risk evaluation regarding internal exposure and physiological effect elucidation will be completed. Molecular epidemiological study will be promoted in Russia. The center for collection, management and analysis of thyroid cancer/breast cancer biological samples and patient information will be established in Belarus, and the infrastructure for Semipalatinsk academic joint research will be maintained. Moreover, it is expected that large-scale analysis of single nucleotide polymorphism (SNPs) will succeed in identifying radiosensitive or disease-sensitive gene groups. 1.
