On the day before of "World Refugee Day", we were able to hear the valuable talks from the teachers about refugee problems not solved still. The video conference relay was firstly used this time between Tokyo office and Dean’s office in Nagasaki. We felt real presence as if there were teachers in the presence because we could exchange our opinions each other between Nagasaki and Tokyo in real time, and our cameras could be operated each other freely.
The geographical features of the corner of North East Africa that contained Somalia, Ethiopia , and Kenya, etc. looks like "horn" of Rhino etc.. This area holds serious refugee problems including background of tragedy and limitation of assistance. So, "Horn of Africa" means these regions and refugee problems. |
