Agreements
on Academic Exchange between three
institutions was updated. |

On Friday,
February 1st, 2008, Nagasaki University updated
Agreements on Academic Exchange between Institute
of Endocrinology and Metabolism of AMSU (Ukraine),
Research Center for Radiation Medicine of
AMSU (Ukraine), and Semipalatinsk Medical
Academy (Republic of Kazakhstan). Director
Mykola Tronko of Institute of Endocrinology
and Metabolism of AMSU, Professor Nataliya
Korol of Research Center for Radiation Medicine
of AMSU, and President Tolebay Rakhypbekov
and Vice President Zhaxybay Zhumadilov of
Semipalatinsk Medical Academy signed an agreement
with President Saito. Professor Yoshisada
Shibata and Professor Tsutomu Mizota of Graduate
School of Biomedical Sciences, Nagasaki University
and some other people concerned were present.
Vice Director Victor Ivanov of Medical Radiological
Research Center of Russian Academy of Medical
Sciences (Russia) and President Pavel Bespalchuk
of Belarussian State Medical University (Republic
of Belarus) also attended the signing ceremony
as observers.
Nagasaki University and these three institutions
has advanced collaboration research of radiation
health effects and medical support through
the WHO project about the Chernobyl accident
and JICA project about Semipalatinsk nuclear
test site. It is hoped that a collaboration
about radiation health effects will be promoted
as a leader of the world on our Global COE
Program.
