ホーム＞活動＞学術交流＞第12回WHO-REMPAN会議派遣報告 　 学術交流 　 　 　 第12回WHO-REMPAN会議派遣報告 【目　的】 WHO-REMPAN協力センターとしての緊急被ばく医療国際ネットワークへの参画 【派遣先】 ブエノス・アイレス市（アルゼンチン共和国） 【期　間】 2008年10月15日−10月17日 【概　要】 　長崎大学は、WHO-REMPAN（Radiation Emergency Medical Preparedness and Assistance Network）において、山下俊一教授をWHOジュネーブ本部へ2年間派遣するなど、本活動の中心的役割を果たしてきた。現在では本学大学院の原爆後障害医療研究施設がWHO放射線プログラムの研究協力センターに指定され、緊急被ばく医療の国際ネットワークの構築と中心的な役割を期待されている。 　今回の第12回目の会議では、まず、REMPAN coordinatorであるWHO本部のZhanat Carr氏による年次活動報告に引き続き、世界各地のCollaborating Centers、Liaison Institutionsの中から日本の広島大学や放射線医学総合研究所を含む数か所の活動紹介がなされた。広島大学からは神谷研二氏により、西日本における3次被ばく医療機関としての体制作りを西日本（Regional）レベルの代表者会議や広島市内の病院間協定等を通じて推進していることの紹介、熱傷センターの設立、さらに大学病院をあげて実際に即して行っている緊急被ばく医療実習について報告された。放射線医学総合研究所からは明石真言氏により、韓国のKorea Institute of Radiological & Medical Sciences（KIRAMS）のNational Radiation Emergency Medical Centerとの協力によるアジア諸国を対象とした緊急被ばく医療セミナーの実施などの報告にあわせ、2007年7月の新潟県中越沖地震による柏崎・刈羽原子力発電所での火災・放射性物質漏出に際したIAEA（International Atomic Energy Agency）との協力対応の報告、さらに日本国内で整備されつつある救急災害医療隊（DMAT）の放射線災害への対応が不十分であることについての現状報告（DMAT隊員に対するアンケート調査結果を含む）、2008年4月の千葉県市原市イリジウム-192所在不明事件に対するWEBやマスメディアを通じた広報活動についての報告がなされた。なお、発表・報告の一覧リストを末尾に示す。 　トピックスとしてとりあげられた課題の中では、局所被ばくによる放射線障害が注目される。この中でも、長崎大学から秋田定伯助教による放射線皮膚・軟部組織障害に対する組織幹細胞を用いた治療の開発・臨床応用（グローバルCOEプログラム課題）に関する発表、アメリカ合衆国のRITN（Radiation Injury Treatment Network）における血液幹細胞移植センターの報告や、欧州のEBMT（European Bone Marrow Transplantation Group）の取り組みなどは、幹細胞をキーワードにした放射線障害に対する画期的な再生医療の取り組みであり、今後の放射線障害関連医療の核となるものと思われる。 　その他、我々のグローバルCOEプログラムの研究課題と関連するものとしては、アルゼンチン共和国のRadiopathology Network - Nuclear Regulatory AuthorityのMarina V?quez氏により放射線被災者の心理学的影響に関する検討に関する中間報告が挙げられる。我々は在韓被爆者の精神健康調査を行っているが、広島・長崎における原爆被爆者に関する検討からの知見もあわせ、緊急被ばく医療の領域においても、今後の充実した対応が期待される分野である。 　また、IAR（International Association of Radiopathology）受賞講演としてNelson Valverde氏により南米における放射線事故被災者（ゴイアニア事故、Yanango事故、Chile事故、Rio事故）の長期健康影響に関するフォローアップ結果が報告された。特にゴイアニア事故では、大多数の被ばく者が生じたものの、現時点までの検討では発癌リスクの増大は認められていないとの報告は、その検討方法とともに注目される。 　また、放射線障害に対する医療の標準化（global consensus on medical management of radiation injuries）についての一般討論も行われたが、議論は総論にとどまっており、議題の選定・各議題における検討などについては今後の作業部会等での細部の調整が必要であるものと思われる。 最後に、次回、2011年の第13回REMPAN会議を日本の長崎大学で行うことがZhanat Carr氏より提案され、満場一致で了承された。グローバルCOEプログラムの　最終年度に長崎大学が中心となってWHO-REMPAN会議を執り行うことはポストグローバルCOEプログラム獲得に向けて欧米拠点機関・WHO（世界保健機関）と連携した放射線健康リスク制御という結実した研究推進の更なる起爆剤となるものとして大いに期待される。   (永井隆記念国際ヒバクシャ医療センター 熊谷敦史) 【議事日程】　 内　容 発表・報告者 10月15日 Session 1.
